On Human Rights Day, we are delighted to announce in partnership with Clan ChildLaw that we have been awarded funding from the Independent Human Rights Fund for Scotland, managed by the Corra Foundation. This partnership will support action to realise and defend children’s rights and tackle immediate rights issues affecting children and young people across Scotland.
Juliet Harris, Director of Together (Scotland Alliance for Children’s Rights):
“This partnership is a crucial step in our work to ensure children’s rights are fully implemented across Scotland. By building the capacity of our members to use the law effectively, we can support babies, children, and young people to raise concerns about their rights – helping to bridge the gap between what is promised in law and what children experience in their daily lives.”
Alison Reid, Chief Executive of Clan Childlaw said:
“This funding will enable a Scotland-wide approach to identifying patterns and systemic issues regarding children’s rights, helping to close the gap between policy and practice. By using strategic litigation and building the capacity of the children’s sector, the project aims to create significant and lasting change in the lives of children and young people.”
A huge thank you to our funders.
