The theme for Playday 2025 is ‘Spaces for Play’. This exciting UK-wide celebration takes place on Wednesday, 6^th of  August 2025, and highlights the important role play has in children’s development, wellbeing, and connection to their communities and culture.

Everyone is invited to get involved, whether by organising a local event or helping to spread the word online. Playday is a fantastic chance to:

• Celebrate the joy and value of play in children’s lives;
• Raise awareness about the importance of play in our culture;
• Build partnerships that support children's right to play.

From big community events to smaller local gatherings, every effort helps ensure children everywhere can enjoy their right to play. How you can take part:

• Plan a Playday event and share it using #Playday2025;
• Spread the message on social media or through newsletters;
• Encourage your networks to join in and organise their own events;
• Invite local representatives to attend;
• Join in the fun at your nearest Playday celebration on 6th August 2025.
