The blog introduces the Children’s Scheme, what it is and why it matters and what the commitments of the scheme are towards guaranteeing the rights of every baby, child and young person in Scotland.  

Furthermore, it points towards what is needed so that both the new Children’s Scheme and the UNCRC Incorporation Act can be a successful foundation for continuously and fully embedding a children’s human rights approach across the systems that shape decisions and deliver services, and what is needed to put the Scheme’s commitments into practice.
