xChildren’s national health rights survey
Date: 9th April 2026
Category:
Health and health services
Children’s Health Scotland has opened the country’s largest national survey on children’s health and health rights, marking its 50th anniversary by calling on children, young people, families and professionals to shape the future of healthcare.
The survey aims to build a detailed picture of what health and health rights look like for children in Scotland in 2026. For five decades, the organisation has gathered stories and experiences from hospitals, schools, homes and communities.
This year’s nationwide effort invites four groups to take part: children and young people, parents and carers, health professionals, and local authorities. Each is offering insight into how well children’s rights are understood, respected and upheld across services.
The findings will directly inform the work of Scotland’s Health Rights Defenders, a network of young people helping to influence national policy and service design.
