The new planned General Comment 27 on children’s right to access to justice and to an effective remedy, set to be published in May 2026, has been postponed until early 2027.  

This decision is part of the United Nations ongoing funding crisis. The Office of the High Commissioner reported that the Comment would be delayed during an event in February 2026.
