Joint Statement: A Roadmap for Every Child

In conjunction with other members of the EU Alliance for Investing in Children, Eurochild has expressed support for the European Commission’s 2026 Social Package, regarding it as an important step in reiterating the EU’s commitment to children’s rights, social inclusion, and equal opportunities for all children.

Eurochild particularly welcomed that the EU Anti-Poverty Strategy is explicitly interlinked with the strengthened European Child Guarantee. The two initiatives focus on prevention, integrated support services, outreach to the most vulnerable children and their families, and breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty and exclusion. This reflects an increasing recognition that eradicating child poverty and social exclusion demands long term solutions in the form of integrated support systems, coordinated governance, prevention-focused policies, and sustained investment in children and families.
