The Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland is one of the largest independent funders in Scotland. To date, the Foundation has distributed nearly £85m to charities and voluntary organisations. The Humanitarian Citizen Awards celebrate the contribution that young people aged 25 and under make to the lives of others. Nominating an individual or group is simple: write 200 words about why they stand out from the crowd. The Scottish Arts Council's Youth Music Initiative is accepting applications for its Informal Sector grants 2010/11. The grants can be used to run music-making activities for children and young people up to the age of 25 outwith school time. Small Grants of £500-£5,000 and Large Grants of £5,001-£30,000 are available to any organisation working in the informal sector seeking to programme musical activity for young people.
