Comic Relief Grants open for applications

Comic Relief has announced that its grants UK programmes are once again open for applications. On average grants of between £25,000 and £40,000 are available to not for profit organisations for work that focuses on mental health, domestic and sexual abuse; refugee and asylum seeking women; older people, using sport in delivering positive change within the lives of individuals and communities, as well as projects focusing on young people (11 - 25) that are sexually exploited; suffer from alcohol abuse; and suffer from mental health problems. In addition, Comic Relief operates a programme that support disadvantaged communities.

The AB Charitable Trust – Supporting human rights

Pupils Given a Voice on Curriculum

A project involving a group of 16 pupils has given young people the chance to have their views on Curriculum for Excellence heard. The research project ran over a number of days and was designed to develop pupils from P7 and S2 as curriculum consultants. The series of workshops builds on the Government's ongoing dialogue with teachers and parents about the new curriculum and will help ensure the changes are properly communicated to pupils too.

Lush Charity Pot Funding

Underage Sexual Activity: Meeting the Needs of Children and Young People and Identifying Child Protection Concerns
